Samira Azzam
Palestinian, died at a young age due to complications of the heart once she learned of the fall of Jerusalem in June 1967. Has mostly written short stories. I liked the ones dealing with the way society, as well as how other women looked and treated unmarried older women. Was working as either a journalist or radio broadcaster. Her stories stem from a realistic modern experience in the Arab world and revolve around the Palestine experience in Diaspora. She very involved in the Palestinian cultural life. Translated works from English to Arabic. Worked as a teacher in Lebanon and Iraq.
